Information technology for Safety: a joint Italian and Croatian perspective for the Adriatic Sea

North Adriatic Sea Port Authority (Ports of Venice and Chioggia) is organizing the technical seminar "Information technology for Safety: a joint Italian and Croatian perspective for the Adriatic Sea" that will take place in Venice at the premises of Terminal 103, Marittima Passengers’ Station, on Friday 29th March, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and will be organized as part of the Kick-off meeting of INTESA project financed in the framework of the 1st Set for Calls for Standard project proposals.


High-profile speakers will discuss how navigation aids also based on AIS technologies, information technology, data exchange and international best practices can increase the safety of navigation and efficiency of Adriatic ports and make them ready for the challenges of the future.

Simultaneous Italian-English and vv translation is guaranteed. Here you can find the detailed agenda of the seminar and logistic information.

The Kick-off event will be held the day before, on 28th March at the premises of the Port Committee’s Main Room, NASPA - Building 12, Santa Marta and will represent a moment for launching the project activities implementation and will be the occasion for the partnership to introduce their organizations and discuss the activity plan per each of the project work packages. Furthermore, during the meeting will be appointed the Project Management Unit members and defined the partners roles and responsibilities.
